Killbuck Valley Writers' Guild

Welcome to the Killbuck Valley Writers' Guild

We meet weekly!

Jitters Coffee House
(the Fireplace Room)
1545 South Washington Street
Millersburg, Ohio

Sundays 1-4 pm

New members always welcome!*

The KVWG comprises amateur and professional writers who live in the Holmes County/Wayne County and surrounding areas of Ohio.  Our members include journalists, published fiction and non-fiction authors, and aspiring writers. Some members are presently working on novels of various types - modern, historic, paranormal - together with short stories, memoirs and non-fiction works, plus poetry.  We get together for mutual support and companionship every Sunday. One week we read and critique each other's work and then the following week we work on our own material, knowing that there is someone on hand for help or suggestions if needed. There are members knowledgeable in all aspects of writing and publishing; from working with agents to self-publishing.

Throughout the year, members attend a variety of writers' workshops around the country, including the Antioch Writers' Workshop, the Wayne College Writers' Workshop, Bouchercon, and Malice Domestic.  The Killbuck Valley Writers' Guild is a sponsor and supporter of the Ohio Power of the Pen interscholastic competition and of the Holmes County District Public Library.

We are a friendly group and welcome all newcomers

* We would recommend that newcomers attend a couple of meetings to appreciate the format before bringing material to read themselves.
